Orthodontics is the dental specialty responsible for correcting teeth and bones that are in incorrect positions.
In addition, dental malposition can cause other discomforts in the rest of the body, such as tension in the chewing muscles, TMJ syndrome and pain in the neck, shoulders and back, among others.

Most frequent oral problems that Orthodontics solves:

• Dental crowding. It occurs when the teeth are too large to fit into the space offered by the jaws.

• Spacing or diastemas. Separations between teeth as a result of missing teeth or teeth that do not occupy all the space.

• Displaced midline. The imaginary line that divides the upper anterior teeth in the center does not align with that of the lower teeth.

• Openbite. This is the space that occurs between the biting surfaces of the front teeth when the rest are closed somewhere.

• Cross bite. When biting, the lower teeth occlude in front of the upper teeth.

• Overbite. This problem occurs when the upper front teeth almost completely cover the crowns of the lower teeth.

There are several types of orthodontics:

invisible orthodontics Invisalign: It is an orthodontic treatment for teeth alignment, which has the advantages of being transparent orthodontics, less invasive and annoying than traditional Braces. For some patients, the use of Braces is quite uncomfortable and invasive.

Aesthetic orthodontics: Aesthetic braces orthodontics are similar to traditional ones, except that they are ceramic or sapphire brackets and not metal, removing the unsightly factor of traditional braces, thus being a form of aesthetic orthodontics. It is the best-known orthodontic method, they are metal appliances with square shapes that are fixed to the tooth using wires and rubber bands.
