Once again a successful event with the participation of more than 90 speakers and more than 350 attendees of numerous nationalities. The&nbsp;<strong>doctors Mar\u00eda del Carmen L\u00f3pez&nbsp;<\/strong>and<strong>&nbsp;Juan Antonio L\u00f3pez-Pital\u00faa<\/strong>&nbsp;participated in the Congress, both as representatives of the Malaga clinic and as members of the&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.seme.org\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Spanish Society of Aesthetic Medicine (SEME)<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the days of the congress, the most innovative topics in anti-aging medicine were discussed, such as, among others: The use of melatonin in the clinical setting and specifically its effect as a powerful cellular protector and antioxidant, new diagnostic methods and therapeutic such as &quot;peptides&quot; (small proteins) that are no more chains of 2 to 50 amino acids and that can have preventive and therapeutic effects of interest, and the acceptance by the majority of congressmen than the use of antioxidant vitamins ( C, A, E), in high doses as proposed in the 90s, can have an effect opposite to that intended, that is, pro-oxidant.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Durante los pasados d\u00edas 3, 4 y 5 de octubre, Sevilla se convirti\u00f3 en la capital internacional de la Medicina Antiaging con la celebraci\u00f3n del&nbsp;XVIII Congreso Internacional de la Sociedad Espa\u00f1ola de Medicina Antienvejecimiento y Longevidad (SEMAL).
