SUNSPOTS

After summer and after exposure to the sun for many hours, the pigmentation of the skin takes on an unsightly appearance and is no longer uniform due to long exposure to the sun in the search for perfect brown skin, but as the time of exposure increases, exposure, imperfections appear on the skin, called sun spots.

Melanin is the substance in the skin that is intended to protect against the harmful effects of the sun's UV (ultraviolet) rays. A failure in the distribution of melanin causes small accumulations of caked-on melanin in a portion of the skin, usually brown in color. These sun spots are commonly known as moles or freckles, the part of the body where they most easily appear is the face, shoulders and neckline.

Greater exposure to UVA UVB rays increases the amounts of melanin in the skin. These hours of exposure accumulate and therefore the probability of the appearance of imperfections and non-uniform pigmentation on the skin increases.

DIAGNOSIS

VISIA is an innovative system that, through three-dimensional visualization and capturing images that are recorded in the system, allows you to check the progress of treatments and the best choice of them. Analyzes the face in three different perspectives: front, right and left. It has ultraviolet light and fluorescent images to provide more complete information for the diagnosis, treatment and information of the skin, whether due to sun damage or another type.

TREATMENT

The Q-Switched laser treatment fragments the sunspot using a photoacoustic technique. This technique eliminates sun spots and does not affect healthy tissue close to the injury. This laser does not cause wounds, making it a long-lasting and effective solution for sun spots.

Specific superficial or medium peels depending on the lesion (melasma, solar lentigines, etc...) we will use various substances.

Fractional Co2 laser that emits beams that penetrate the skin as thermal columns, due to the effect it exerts on the water contained in the cells, it produces a replacement of the epidermis, and can reach the dermis.
