Fotona QX MAX Laser for Tattoo Removal

It is a machine that uses a laser procedure, with a beam of light of a specific wavelength, which is emitted for a fraction of a second and is absorbed by the pigments of a tattoo in the skin including melanin.

It is used to remove cosmetic tattoos and brown age spots on the face, breasts, hands and arms. The laser also removes micro pigmentation.

Light pigments such as freckles or age spots can be removed in a single session. Most pigments will be removed in no more than two sessions, but there are clinically difficult cases such as zygomatic nevus or nevus of Ota that may require between 3 and 6 sessions.

Removing a tattoo usually requires between 2 and 6 sessions depending on the different colors and types of ink. It is normal that in approximately 20% clients' skin will be left with a dark spot once the initial scab has fallen off. The skin will return to its normal state after about 2 or 3 months as long as the skin's hydration has been adequate.

The treated skin turns reddish immediately after the session. Some of the pigments will disappear instantly. The skin may be reddish and lasts for about 7-14 days.
