Periodontics is the area of Dentistry that is responsible for the study, prevention and treatment of those pathologies that affect the tissues that protect, surround and support the teeth: gum, alveolar bone, periodontal ligament and root cement.

A healthy mouth is reflected in each of its components, whether soft tissues, palate, composition, structure and position of the teeth and everything that concerns stomatology.

Some gingival defects can be annoying for the patient, since they alter the symmetry of their smile. Therefore, an adequate diagnosis will allow establishing a successful treatment, taking into account not only the aesthetic issue but also the improvement of functional activity.
