LUMECCA TREATMENT
Unify your skin tone and achieve a radiant appearance
Are you concerned about sun spots, freckles, rosacea, or the tiny veins that appear on your face, neck, décolletage, or hands? Lumecca It is a cutting-edge Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) system, considered the most powerful and fastest on the market. At Clínica Doctores López, we offer this treatment to correct skin imperfections and restore an even tone, unparalleled radiance, and a visibly younger appearance.
Our goal is to help you achieve flawless skin without surgery or extended downtime.
Each session is quick and is performed in the clinic. The time varies depending on the areas being treated.
You can resume your daily activities immediately. It's normal for the spots to darken and for there to be slight redness in the area, which will subside within a few hours.
Treated spots and blood vessels do not reappear. However, the appearance of new blemishes depends on sun exposure and the patient's genetic predisposition.
What is Lumecca and How Does It Work?
Lumecca uses optimized intense pulsed light that selectively penetrates the skin. Its high-intensity energy is absorbed by melanin (the pigment in dark spots) and hemoglobin (the pigment in blood vessels).
For pigment spots: Light is absorbed by melanin, breaking up the pigment. The body naturally eliminates these particles, causing the spots to initially darken and then fade or peel off in the form of small scabs.
For vascular lesions and redness: Light is absorbed by the hemoglobin in dilated blood vessels. This causes it to clot and be subsequently reabsorbed by the body, reducing redness, spider veins, and rosacea.
