PHLEBOESTHETIC UNIT

Varicose veins are dilations of the vascular system caused by a failure in its valve system. These valves promote venous return against gravity, like a system of gates. When these fail, the blood stagnates, presses on the walls of the vessel, causing its dilation and therefore varicose veins.

CHARACTERISTICS OF VARICOSE VARICES

  • They mainly affect the superficial veins of the legs.
  • Its first symptoms are the aesthetic appearance of the legs and discomfort such as heaviness, cramps, swelling, itching, tingling, etc.
  • It evolves into varicose veins with problems such as varicose pearls, phlebitis, edema and varicose ulcers, which affects the quality of life.
  • The treatments we use are: sclerosis, either with normal sclerosant or with foam (the latter for thicker varicose veins) and we combine it with laser to finish the final results.

YOU WOULD BE INTERESTED TO KNOW:

If you have very thin and white skin, your veins may be visible and you may not like them aesthetically, but they should not be treated, since doing so will harm venous circulation and cause real varicose veins.

It is a treatment to be carried out in autumn-winter, since the sun should not shine on the treated areas.

PHLEBOESTHETICS TREATMENTS:

  1. Sclerosis of varicose veins and spider veins.
  2. Electrocoagulation.
  3. Outpatient surgery with local anesthesia for varicose veins.
  4. Vascular laser.
  5. Treatments of complications (stains, ulcers, hyperpigmentation, etc.).
  6. Medical treatment.
