RUBY POINT TREATMENT
Eliminate Ruby Points
Have you noticed those small red or wine-colored spots that appear on your skin, sometimes on your trunk, neck, or face? They're known as ruby spots or cherry angiomas, and although they're benign lesions, they can be unsightly. At Doctores López Clinic, we offer a fast, safe, and effective solution to eliminate them, giving your skin a clearer, more even appearance.
Our goal is to help you achieve flawless skin, free of these small vascular imperfections.
The total session time will depend on the number of ruby points to be treated. The procedure is performed on an outpatient basis and is done in the clinic.
No rest is required. You can resume your daily activities immediately. The treated area may show mild redness that disappears within a few hours.
A treated and removed ruby spot will not reappear in the same location. However, new lesions may develop over time due to individual predisposition.
What are Ruby Points and How Do We Treat Them?
Vascular Laser or Electrocoagulation (Thermolysis Therapy)
- How does it work? Both techniques are highly effective. Vascular laser emits light that is selectively absorbed by the red color of the ruby point, coagulating the blood vessel without damaging the surrounding skin. Similarly, electrocoagulation uses a very fine needle that emits heat to cauterize the vessel.
- What does it do? Thermal energy collapses the capillary that forms the ruby point. After a few days, the lesion dries and forms a small scab that falls off naturally, leaving the skin clean and unmarked.
- Process: It's a very quick procedure, taking only a few seconds per lesion. Most of the time, a single session is enough to eliminate the ruby spot.

Care for your Ruby Point Treatment
At Clínica Doctores López we are known for our personalized treatment of our patients, always taking into account their case and their needs. Therefore, each of our treatments is adapted to any patient who comes to our clinic in search of the perfect smile.
No special preparation is required. It is recommended to avoid intense sun exposure on the area to be treated for the week prior.
It's essential to avoid direct sun exposure on the treated area until the small scab has fallen off. Use sunscreen with SPF 50+ consistently to prevent hyperpigmentation. Don't scratch or pick at the scab; let it fall off naturally.
In order to offer an exact price, a free initial appointment at our clinic is required to assess the case.
Each patient is unique and requires personalized treatment adapted to their needs.
