The SEME congress (Spanish Society of Aesthetic Medicine) is a national and international reference that brings together some 2,000 experts. It was recently held in Malaga.
According to data provided by the organizers of the event, the number of congressmen has grown by 10 percent compared to the previous edition, which indicates the good health of the sector. The most popular treatments are those aimed at alleviating the effects of aging, especially in the facial area, with botulinum toxin (Botox) and dermal fillers.
The congress was inaugurated by the deputy mayor and councilor for Economy, Finance and Human Resources of the Malaga City Council, Carlos Conde, who emphasized the commitment made by the health sector to hold its congresses and meetings in Malaga. Along with Carlos Conde were the president of the College of Physicians of Malaga, Juan José Sánchez Luque; the president of the International Union of Aesthetic Medicine, Víctor García Guevara; the president of the SEME, Petra Vega, and the president of the local congressional committee, María del Carmen López Marín.
