Masks do not hide halitosis

Bad breath, sometimes called halitosis, is generally caused by poor breathing habits. oral hygiene: infections in the mouth, unhealthy habits such as smoking, drinking alcohol and ingested foods. The smell of bad breath varies, depending on the origin or cause. There are people who worry about their breath because they have little or no odor, while others who have bad breath do not know it. It may be due to poor oral hygiene, caused by dental plaque, food debris, and the development of gingivitis. Determining the cause of bad breath can be difficult without the help of a health professional, due to the many possibilities that can cause it.

COVID-19 masks do not hide bad breath. What's more, regardless of the type of mask we use, its function as a physical barrier means that saliva remains on the material itself, projecting its odor and even warning us that we possibly have a halitosis problem. If so, go to the dentist as soon as possible.
