Sun Spot Treatment
Eliminates Sun Spots
Intense sun exposure, especially after the summer, can cause the appearance of Sunspots, which are accumulations of melanin that alter the uniformity of skin tone. These imperfections, which often appear as moles or freckles, typically appear in highly exposed areas such as the face, shoulders, and décolletage.
To address sunspots, an accurate diagnosis is made using VISIA, a 3D system that analyzes the skin with ultraviolet light to determine the most appropriate treatment. Treatment options include Q-switched laser, which fragments the stains without damaging the surrounding tissue, specific peels adapted to the type of lesion (such as melasma or solar lentigines), the intense pulsed light (IPL), which uses light pulses directed at the spots, and the fractional CO2 laser, which renews the epidermis by penetrating the skin in the form of thermal columns.
Sunspot treatment sessions are performed in the clinic and last between 15 and 45 minutes. The exact time will depend on the type of technology used (laser, IPL, or peeling) and the size of the area to be treated.
The recovery period after sun spot treatments varies, generally between 3 and 10 days. Mild initial redness or peeling is common. It is crucial to follow our professionals' post-treatment instructions and protect your skin from the sun to ensure optimal results.

Sun Spot Treatment: How is it performed?
Before starting the treatment, the specialist will make a detailed evaluation of your skin using the system VISIA to analyze the stains and determine the most appropriate approach for each area.
Sun spot removal is an outpatient procedure that does not require hospitalization. It is performed in the clinic using techniques such as Q-switched laser, intense pulsed light (IPL), or specific peels, applied directly to the pigmented imperfections.
In the days following treatment, it's normal to notice slight redness or superficial scabbing in the treated area. These reactions usually disappear gradually within 3 to 10 days, gradually revealing more even skin.
